AUSTRIA: Peter Rosegger HS

There are several students with special needs at our institute, who will- as will all of our students – be integratedly involved in the project.

We want to participate in this project because we want to:
  • Promote awareness of European cultures and traditions
  • Develop the students` consciousness of their roots through the use of an active, student-centred research activity
  • Develop students` ICT and language abilities
  • Create products which will enable students to exchange their experiences and then compare the different cultural aspects
  • Improve motivation and confidence of students and teachers reaching from the local to the international
  • Make use of sources outside schools such as after-school-clubs, youth clubs and the local authorities
We have started transnational activities before getting involved into the Comenius project β€œ Across the Ages β€œin 2006 by establishing contact and exchange with the twin city of Trofaiac and have experienced both by that and the Comenius project how important it is to have such contacts and communication to strengthen the awareness of being part of a common Europe without having to fear losing one`s regional identity. This new project is another important step into this direction.

The school was involved in a previous Comenius project "Across the Ages".
