Background to St. Mochulla's Involvement in CHOIR
St. Mochulla’s National School is eager to participate in the CHOIR project as it sees the opportunity to meet with teachers, parents and staff from other countries, The school is proud of its Irish cultural heritage in music, song, dance and literature.

Our school environment and its cultural hinterland is a noted area for Irish music, games and culture and we wish to explore these aspects to compare and contras with our European colleagues. Tulla is the home of the nationally known Tulla Pipe Band and the Tulla Ceilí Band.

St. Mochulla’s hopes to integrate what it experiences into the school curriculum and to show clearly a close but different cultural heritage with its CHOIR partners. Our school is certain that all connected with the school will benefit through this cross cultural fertilisation of both practical activities for students and an increasing and life long lasting knowledge of other European school curricula.
