Details:

Introduction to interactive whiteboards in the Infant classroom.
The course will help participants to realise the full potential of the interactive white board in the Infant classroom.
Participants will be enabled to :
- Make the most of activinspire,using it to create and save 'flash cards', create and save simple flipcharts for use in the teaching of sight vocabulary, phonics and early mathematical skills. 
- Realise the vast collection of ready made resources available on the net.
-Use digital media in the classroom to enhance teaching e.g. digital camera, scanner, flip cameras, microphones

Module 1
- Introduction to course and what will be covered.
-Introduction to activinspire, it's layout how it works, brief rundown of tools available.
- Using activinspire to create 'flash cards', using these to make and save simple flipcharts for teaching sight vocabulary and basic reading skills.
-Using microsoft word and clip art to create reading resources for use in the infant classroom.
-Using resources available on activinspire to develop an early concept of number and early mathematical skills.
 
Module 2
-Introduction to the internet, layout basic features etc.
-Exploring a selection of web-sites aimed at infant level.
-Book marking web pages.
-Downloading flipcharts from promethean planet.
-Downloading nursery rhymes video clips from teacher tube.
 
Module 3
-How a digital camera can be used in the infant classroom, taking/saving photos and using these in teaching literacy and numeracy.
-Using the digital camera for recording videos.
-The use of a scanner in the infant classroom.
-Making the most of windows media player, ripping /copying CD's, making play lists.
-Review of course and completion of evaluation forms.
