The Insurance Institute of Ireland Transition Year Programme
This TY programme is entitled ‘Insurance Literacy’. This interactive initiative gives students a unique insight into how insurance shapes and supports society and the career opportunities within this industry.
The Insurance Literacy programme:
- can be delivered online in classrooms or taken independently by the student via Moodle
- has been developed in accordance with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment’s template and guidelines
- helps students to build financial literacy skills, explore sustainability, learn to appreciate the vital role of insurance, and discover exciting career opportunities
- ties all these themes together in a real-world context
- is complemented by quizzes, thought-provoking videos, and interactive activities
- is recognised by a digital badge issued by the Insurance Institute
- takes a minimum of 10 hours of teaching/learning time.
