Target Audience: Leaving Cert Chemistry Teachers

In this webinar, we will explore effective strategies to make chemistry calculations less intimidating for students. We'll delve into methodologies that support a deeper understanding of the mathematical aspects of chemistry. Additionally, we'll introduce some Assessment for Learning (AFL) techniques designed to reduce stress during calculation practice, helping students enjoy the subject without the added anxiety often associated with the calculations in the exam.

Bio of Presenter: Shannon Aherne

Shannon is a Post-Primary Maths and Chemistry teacher and the creator of @craicmatamaitic. She has over 6 years of experience in STEM education and strives to make maths enjoyable for students of all abilities.
