                Workshop 2: Monday 24th February 2020
                Workshop 3: Monday 27th April 2020

TIME:      5pm to 7pm
VENUE:  Clare Education Centre

Schools are invited to nominate three staff members (including one senior leader) to engage in a professional learning programme on Cosán, the national framework for teachers’ learning. The programme will support teachers in reflecting on their learning so as to maximise its impact.

The programme encompasses three workshops facilitated by practising teachers. The workshops will take place in the Education Centres listed below in 2020 and it is anticipated that it will be rolled out nationally over time.

A maximum of 10 schools will participate in this programme in each Centre, early booking is advised.

These workshops will support teachers’ engagement in professional learning, their critical reflection on that learning, and their engagement in meaningful and sustainable collaboration, in the context of the Cosán development process. The reflective approaches and tools explored in these workshops will also support schools in enacting a range of policies in their contexts including:

  • The SSE Process
  • Droichead
  • The Junior Cycle Framework and
  • The new allocation model for inclusive education.
