This is an experiential, feedback based workshop that will enable Special Needs assistants, SEN and support teachers to use various creative interventions to help and support children in their care. The workshop is designed to provide both theoretical background to challenging behaviours and offer practical methods to support children emotionally, socially and academically. The workshop is experiential and structured to provide the opportunity to experience first hand a number of creative mediums that can be effectively used to enhance relationships and regulate challenging behaviours so that children are primed for learning. You will also experience playful learning and gain an understanding of how the therapeutic values of play can support achievement of developmentally appropriate goals. The workshop will provide an opportunity to reflect on personal growth and foster self-care through adopting mindful practices.
