PROTECT Project: 30-second Pupil Video on the Effects of Climate Change
ATTENTION: Clare Schools
Clare Education Centre is leading a new Erasmus+ project — PROTECT: Pupil-led Response to the Effects of Climate Change on Their Local Communities involving partner organisations from Ireland, Serbia, Norway, Croatia and Portugal.
A key element of the project is the harnessing of student voice in shaping conversations about Climate Action and the future of their communities. To support this, we invite Primary and Post-Primary schools in Clare to submit a 30-second video featuring pupils sharing their opinions, concerns and hopes for their local community in relation to climate change.
Submitted clips will be compiled into a video presentation that will be:
- Showcased at a special event in Clare County Council Chamber on 15 October
- Shared on the project’s social media platforms
- Used as a learning resource over the 3-year PROTECT project
How to submit:
- Orientation - Please record in landscape orientation where possible
- Sound Quality - Ask that pupils speak clearly, facing the camera. Be aware of the background
- Consent - Seek parental permission for pupils to appear on the video. This video will be on the PROTECT project website and will be shown at a PROTECT Training Course for teachers.
- Clip length - Approximately 30 - 45 seconds
- Clip naming - Include the school name and country if possible
- Format - MP4 format preferred
- Submission - email to
