Target Audience: Mainstream class teachers teaching a child with a visual impairment, SNAs and SETs working with children with a visual impairment.
Would you like to provide further support for a child in your Physical Education (PE) class with a visual impairment?
This is the second online presentation delivered as part of the IPPEA Learning Community on Inclusion. This workshop aims to support teachers in the inclusion of children who are visually impaired in mainstream Primary PE lessons.
This presentation will provide teachers with practical suggestions to further enhance the inclusion of children who are visually impaired in PE lessons. There will be an opportunity for Q & A at the end.
Presenter: 
Niamh is a Primary school teacher working as the PE Teaching Assistant on the PE team in St. Patrick’s College, DCU this year. She is a current PhD student and her research focus is ‘Supporting Primary school teachers to include a child with a visual impairment in PE lessons. She is an Executive Committee member and the current Secretary to the Irish Primary PE Association (IPPEA).
