Once Upon a TeachMeet: World Book Day Webinar 2026

Join members of the Literacy Association of Ireland Executive Committee for a dynamic, fast-paced World Book Day TeachMeet designed to spark ideas and support your planning in the lead-up to World Book Day!

This free online webinar will showcase a wide range of practical approaches and creative strategies to help teachers to inspire a grá for and celebrate reading in meaningful and engaging ways across both primary and secondary levels, trí Ghaeilge agus Béarla. From classroom activities and whole-school initiatives to digital tools and literacy-rich routines, attendees will leave with fresh ideas that can be implemented the very next day!

Alison Nulty is a PhD candidate and part-time lecturer in Early Childhood Education at  DCU Institute of Education.

Baineann a réimsí taighde le litríocht Ghaeilge na nÓg agus foghlaim agus teagasc na Gaeilge. Ba mhúinteoir bunscoile agus léachtóir í in oiliúint tosaigh múinteoirí i gColáiste San Aingeal, Sligeach.



Emma Farragher is an Assistant Professor in Literacy Education and an EdD student at DCU Institute of Education.



Josephine Brady is Course Co-ordinator of the SPhD/MEd in Literacy Education programme at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.
