Target Audience:  Primary & Post Primary Teachers & SNA’s

The Prevention and Management of Aggression and Violence course brings focus to the last resort intervention staff may have to provide to assist a child in crisis. It involves minimal contact and hand placement after no their option is available to staff. The course will focus on the de-escalation techniques, deflection and distraction, dynamically risk assessing the crisis, environment and all in the area. The course will also review both the Department of Education and NCSE guidance documents on Behaviours of Concern.
