NEPS would like to invite you to an information workshop on the design and implementation of Student Support Files in Post-Primary schools
The Student Support File is a good starting point for emerging needs and may assist schools in providing an appropriate level of support in line with their needs.
- It may help encourage and formalise parental engagement in the student’s learning.
- It is a way of tracking a student’s pathway through the Continuum, and a mechanism to document progress and needs over time.
- It assists schools in matching / providing an appropriate level of support to students, in line with their level of need.
- It is a valuable source of information to the receiving post-primary school at the time of transition, providing a greater level of information about ‘known and documented’ needs.
- This input aims to help teachers become familiar with the Student Support file and how to use it.
