In recent years, the role of the substitute teacher has been become one of the most important in the Irish education system. As a NQT, you may have the opportunity to go out and sub in a range of schools. This webinar aims to inform NQTs on the ins and outs of subbing and how to put your best foot forward in a subbing role. The content of this webinar will include approaching schools, staying organised, your sub bag, last minute planning, building school relationships and more.
Bio of Presenter: Adam Barrett

My name is Adam Barrett and I am a qualified primary school teacher from County Kerry, currently teaching in County Cork. I qualified from the Bachelor of Education programme in Mary Immaculate College in 2019 and have spent the last 2 years working as a Special Education Teacher, as well as a substitute teacher. I also run the Instagram page 'Mister Múinteoir' @mister_muinteoir_ , where I share ideas, information, resources and support for student teachers and NQTs.
