Assessment for Learning - Learning for LifeNurturing What Matters: Learner Voice, Learner Independence and Learner ResponsibilityTeaching children to be learners for life is a key goal for education in a world with rapid technological advancements and lack of clarity on required future skillsets. Would you like to know more about supporting students to learn 'how to learn', to reflect on, be responsible for and assess their own learning? Suzanne Parkinson, author of 'My Learning Identity', a new programme, currently available for students from Third to Sixth Class, will present this workshop. She will present a framework for teaching children the tools of learning, key learning strategies that can be used to nurture learner dispositions such as attention, memory, organisation, mindset and self-awareness. These lifelong learning strategies will support students right through their educational lives. Suzanne will present an overview of the entire programme and ancillary resources and will take a detailed look at texts for Senior Classes.Suitable for Third to Sixth Class Teachers
