NEPS Primary Group Planning Session (Session C)

VENUE:   Clare Education Centre, Ennis

Please note these Group Planning Sessions are for Clare Schools ONLY.  Each member of staff attending must register individually.

Dear Principal/Teacher,

We hope this letter finds you well and that you have enjoyed a pleasant summer break. 

We are looking forward to working with you again this year. Your assigned psychologist will be in touch with you personally in the coming weeks to discuss the specific needs of your school for 2025-26 and how best to use your NEPS time.

As part of this process, we are writing to invite you and a nominated member of your school staff to meet in person with members of the NEPS Clare team. These sessions will take place in the Clare Education Centre on Thursday, 18^th September, with four alternative sessions being available to all primary schools at two differing times.  We hope that the Group Planning session will be of great value to you and provide an opportunity to engage in a broad range of topics pertinent to the service NEPS will be offering to your school.

Topics may include:

• NEPS Model of Service & Continua and A/SEN Support;
• Schools role prior to NEPS involvement in casework & Prioritisation with NEPS;
• Forms and Consent (informed) (including NEPS Request for Involvement Forms completion);
• Critical Incident Support;
• NEPS Resources;
• Support and Development Plan for Schools in 2025-2026;
• How HSE Services & NEPS collaborate;
• Teacher Self-care;
• Special class/school (transitions);
• School avoidance/Reluctant School Attenders;
• Deliberate Self-harm in Schools;
• Information on the NOSP

Members of the team will present at the different sessions.

We would appreciate if you could confirm attendance by booking your place in one session only on the Clare Education Centre booking system (see below) by Friday, 12^th September 2025.

NEPS Group Planning Sessions:

We appreciate you taking time out of the busy start to the school year to attend this meeting. There is a lot of information to cover so we hope to start and finish promptly.  Unfortunately, we are not in a position to provide substitute cover or travel expenses for this meeting.
